Meet the Directors

KAYLA ROPER, Hi-Stepper director

Ms. Roper attended Bastrop High School, where she was a four-year member of the Honeybears drill team. She served as a Lieutenant her sophomore year and Captain both her junior and senior years. 

After high school, Ms. Roper attended Trinity Valley as a Cardette where she was a part of the nationals team her sophomore year. Ms. Roper received her associate's degree from Trinity Valley then transferred to Texas State where she graduated Magna Cum Laude 1 with a BFA in dance education.
​From 2021 to 2024 Ms. Roper taught at Dripping Springs High School as the JV director and assistant varsity director. In 2024 she was selected to step into the role of the varsity dance director and is eager to build on the program's success and continued growth. In her first year as director she led the team to their first-ever State Champion Title in the select team category.

Alyssa Wisdom, Dazzler director | Hi-Stepper Assistant Director

Alyssa is from McKinney Texas where she was a 4 year member of the Award Winning McKinney Marquettes and served as an officer while on the team. After high school, Alyssa continued her education at Stephen F. Austin State University. While there, Alyssa was on the 22x national champion SFA Dance Team where she competed and earned 3 national titles at NDA and DTU. Alyssa was also on the SFA Repertory Dance Company. She graduated with a bachelors of Science in Dance Education and has a minor in Dance Team Coaching. After graduation, Alyssa taught at Kickin' It With Rains, Kitty Carter's Dance Factory, and Dance Up Dallas. Alyssa is so excited and honored to have started her journey with Dripping Springs in 2024!
